Cybersecurity and politics

When politicians pitch to people why the voters should vote for them, a less touched subject is Cybersecurity, although it protects everyone from young to old, and affects everyone. While everyone is concerned about stuff like whether or not someone is a boy or a girl, we should really put that aside for Cybersecurity. In fact, without cybersecurity practices most major banks would have already been breached, data stolen, and so much more. Even though data breaches still occur, it is better than nothing. Furthermore, this is not to include the dangerous online interactions that kids have, from talking to adults who groom and do terrible things with these minors. Now that we are in a new digital era, the issues that come with it have been rearing their ugly heads for a while, yet our polititians have done little to combat this, usually relying on 3rd partys to "just deal with it", while ironically most of America's finances are digital now. Through this, I truely believe that more people should advocate to make cybersecurity a real issue in politics.
