If we actually think about it, Cybersecurity is a relatively new field, only really springing about after massive attacks on internet and data that warrented the need for security online. The problem is, theres not really any legislation for this field of expertise, which becomes especially concerning when the majority of data now is stored online, money is mostly transfered online, and most of our day to day lives involve the internet some way or another. Well, why don't we add more laws? If you have studied a bit of the American governnment, you know that the government is SLOW. Laws have to go through multiple groups of people before it even is considered to be voted, then has to go through the vote of even more people in order to get passed. One way we can speed up this process for Cybersecurity, though is by actually making this growing issue of Cybersecurity relavent to our lawmakers. A law only gets passed because it stems from a problem within the nation, and right now Cyberattacks are a pretty relavent problem within this nation. I propose that we, as the people, have to try to make Cybersecurity one of the biggest issues for the upcoming years. Afterall, with the introduction of AI, there needs to be SOME form of regulation in order to curb the amount of attacks, otheriwse people will commit all kinds of cyber-related attacks without any repercusions just because it wasn't brought up to our legislators and law makers. Overall, when we end the 2024 year and get into the 2025 year, I think we should try to make cyber security a more prevalent issue to our government.
